Community Support

The St. Johns County Education Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit fund raising organization, provides support to the school district through sponsorship of various programs including the Teacher of the Year Celebration, Horizon Awards, Take Stock in Children, the Black Stallion Literacy Project, License for Learning and One for the Kids.

Business Partners in Education provide personnel and fiscal resources to the school district. There are currently 300 different business partners supporting St. Johns County schools and 8,540 volunteers who donated more than 244,658 hours during the 2007-2008 school year.

Readiness for College – 68.5% of St. Johns County graduates ready in all three areas tested (math, reading, and writing) compared to state average of 59.4%
Dropout Rate - 1.8%, less than state average of 3.3%.
Graduation Rate - 78.3%, higher than state average of 72.4%
2008 National Merit Semifinalists - 14 seniors placed in top 1% on PSAT
